Today we’re thrilled to welcome Jonah Burian to the Blockchain Capital investment team.
Jonah joins us from the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a Director at Penn Blockchain and played a key role in the formation of FranklinDAO, a university student-driven organization and governance delegate for various defi/infrastructure protocols. Jonah graduated Summa Cum Laude with a dual major in NETS (a blend of computer science and systems engineering) and Economics and a minor in Mathematics.
During his time at Penn, Jonah took a gap year to join Mipasa, a Tel Aviv-based data science company where he led a team of software engineers. He also held a number of software engineering jobs and internships, including at Bloomberg L.P., where he developed a pricing engine for low-liquidity cryptocurrency.
Most importantly, Jonah brings to the firm an insatiable curiosity for the inner workings of finance and crypto, coupled with a drive to turn over every stone in the course of research -- a combination of qualities that has left a very strong impression on our team at BCAP.
Going forward, Jonah will be focused on research and exploring new investment opportunities at the bleeding edges of crypto. We couldn’t be more excited to have him onboard!
