Sonia Aggarwal is the Associate General Counsel of Blockchain Capital. Sonia works with the General Counsel on legal and regulatory issues pertaining to the company’s investments in the blockchain technology industry including cryptocurrencies, token protocols, digital asset securities and decentralized finance.

Before joining Blockchain Capital, Sonia served as corporate counsel at Prosper Marketplace where she worked closely with the capital markets team on structured finance transactions, ongoing investor matters, and regulatory and compliance issues.

Prior to Prosper, Sonia worked as an associate at Morrison & Foerster LLP where she advised companies on various transactional matters including mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, capital markets transactions and ongoing SEC compliance.

Sonia received a JD from the UCLA School of Law, an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management and a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Claremont McKenna College. In her spare time, Sonia enjoys sailing and undertaking elaborate baking projects.
